An Interview With…

JESSICA PAULLUS, New Home Sales Consultant

What path brought you to Wedgewood Building Company?
I started working in the new home construction business in 1998. I worked in an internal role until 2006, when the opportunity came for me to branch out into sales.

What do you have a knack for?
I have a knack for relating to people and getting them to share their experiences, wants and needs with me.  I’m a great listener.

What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?
I am best at helping them find a home design that fits their current lifestyle. My ideal clients would say I am personable, informative, and responsive.

What are you passionate about?
I enjoy helping people find solutions that enhance their current lifestyle and helping them transition from one stage of life (traditional family home) to another (empty nester home).

What can’t you stop talking about?
I really enjoy photography. I love to discuss films and art.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
You can find me spending time with family, pursuing my photography hobby, or at a movie or show.

Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in Kokomo, Indiana and opportunities were more abundant elsewhere.

Are there any nonprofits you love?
Girl Scouts of America – I enjoyed being in this organization as a young girl.  They also have great cookies!

What awards or accomplishments are you proud of?
I have had two photographs of mine published. I was a Dean’s Scholar when I attended the University of Southern California for a few semesters during my college career.

What would be impossible for you to give up?
My family and my camera.
