An Interview With…

GREG CRADICK, AIA – Architect

What path brought you to Wedgewood Building Company?
I started in 1992, right out of architecture school at Ball State University. I knew right out of school that I wanted to design and build residential projects for families. And, I’ve been with the same team ever since!

What do you have a knack for?
I create architecturally correct designs that meet the wishes of our client and I have a knack for looking at a design problem with a unique solution.

What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?
I create designs that engage the emotions of a client. I can create a design that they’ll love!

What are you most passionate about professionally?
I’m passionate about designing a home that fits the clients’ life and adds an unexpected element they did not realize they would love. I love seeing the home built and knowing the people inside are happy.

What can’t you stop talking about?
My family and seeing my family thrive.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
With my 4 kids and my wife, Michelle, at an Irish Dance Competition, volleyball game, lacrosse game, track meet, boy scout or girl scout event. Riding my mountain bike or building a new project with the kids.

Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in Carmel, Indiana and am still here today!

Are there any volunteer activities you love?
We are members at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. I love coaching girls lacrosse, volunteering for Holy Name Society, Boy Scouts, and I’m the Guerin Trivia Night Co-Chairperson.

What nonprofits do you love?
St. Maria Goretti Church – our kids are at school there.
Boy Scouts – I have 2 sons in scouts and my oldest, Aaron, is almost an Eagle Scout.
Sigma Chi – my college fraternity.

What would be impossible for you to give up?
Cereal.
