What path brought you to Wedgewood Building Company?
In 1998, I was a partner in a large architectural engineering practice (I am a registered architect). But, I became disenchanted with the lack of “real” client engagement in a large practice and decided to make a move. I’ve been part of the senior team at Wedgewood ever since.
What do you have a knack for?
I have a knack for being a great listener as well as having a knack for creating a vision.
What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?
I am best at helping clients “focus”. My clients would also say I’m a good listener.
What are you most passionate about professionally?
I am most passionate about creating a “shared journey” with my clients.
What can’t you stop talking about?
The people! I enjoy giving form to the client dream.
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
I enjoy travel, photography, biking and fine dining.
Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. I left for the “big city” of Chicago, by way of Cincinnati.
Are there any volunteer activities you love?
I volunteer with Indiana Landmarks. I am passionate about historic preservation and neighborhoods.
What nonprofits do you love?
I have served as Board President of the Indianapolis Art Center. I am passionate about connecting people with the arts.
What awards or accomplishments are you proud of?
I have won numerous city and state awards for building design. And, I have also won awards and citations for community service.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
My Job!
